2009 Washington Summit Success:
Perspectives Shared with Policymakers

Motivated by the number of fresh faces on Capitol Hill, as well as the recently announced broadband stimulus program, attendees turned out in force to meet with policymakers during the ACA's 16^th Annual Summit held last week at National Harbor, MD.   Attendance climbed to 286 attendees representing 150 companies compared to last year's 266 attendees from 130 companies.  Operator attendees participated in 155 meetings with policymakers to tout how small and medium-sized operators are ideal candidates for receiving much of the $7.2 billion in grant and loan funding to carry out Congress' and the Administration's broadband deployment goals. 

ACA Summit trip winner Ken Johnson had the following to say about the Summit:  "Just a quick note to say a big thanks to the ACA for selecting our Company's story and allowing us to attend the Summit.  As a first timer, I found the conference to be well organized, dynamic, and informational.
