How to Send a Letter to the Editor

Instructions for Drafting/Submitting Letters to the Editor:

  1. Do NOT exceed 250 words 

  1. Find the contact information for your local daily newspapers 

  1. Ask how to submit your Letter to the Editor - the newspaper will give you an email address to send your letter to. 

  1. Make sure to put your name, title, company, and phone number at the bottom of the letter. 

  1. Send away! Or you can use the ACA's online grassroots tool to send your letter via email.  Submit your letter to the editor online!

  1. If your local paper(s) publish your letter, please forward a copy to Ted Hearn at Hearn@americancable.org:
